The Glider Initiative was founded in 2007 by our founding members. Headquartered in Michigan, we are a registered nonprofit within the state of Michigan. TGI also has federal 501 (c) (3) tax exempt status. The board dreamed of an organization that could ultimately help the sugar glider community once and for all. By addressing common issues today and getting them at the root, TGI is dedicated to educate owners, and other interested persons. TGI will hold seminars, education classes, conferences, and other meetings to educate owners and public persons regarding health, feeding, medical, and other aspects of sugar glider ownership.

First Annual Sugar Glider Expo |

October 11, 2008 Set within a historic building in the Metro Detroit Area, this year’s Sugar Glider Expo is sure to be a “can’t miss” event. This event will be unlike any other sugar glider gathering. Vendors and educators are encouraged to rent booth space and present their products throughout the day. We will have scheduled speakers and demonstrations throughout the day, with open attendance so that you can attend only those speakers or demonstrations you wish to attend. More details will be announced at a later date, but mark the date of the EXPO on your calendar! Registration Information: Registration is free to TGI members/ $10 for non members.
