The Glider Initiative (TGI) strongly believes in sugar glider education and outreach. We are committed to the education of owners, breeders, brokers, rescues, pet shops, veterinarians, and other sugar glider enthusiasts. We are dedicated to reaching out to those in need and helping prolong the lives of sugar gliders everywhere. We believe all sugar gliders deserve a chance at an amazing life, and that starts with the education of.
The Glider Initiative was founded in 2007. Headquartered in Michigan, we are a registered nonprofit in the state of Michigan. TGI is also a federally registered 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization.
The founding members dreamed of an organization that would properly educate owners, and other interested persons, in the proper care and husbandry of sugar gliders.
TGI holds annual expos to educate owners about sugar glider health, feeding, medical issues and care, and other aspects of sugar glider ownership. TGI also attends many pet expos throughout the Midwest in order to educate people who have unwittingly purchased gliders from mill brokers.
